Bloody Worms with Eyeballs (English Version)


Ingredient:
300 grams of dried spaghetti, cook  the pasta according to the instruction, set aside.


Meat Sauce Ingredients:
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
½ tsp dried thyme
* All of the herbs mentioned can be replaced by 2 tsp of Italian seasoning *
1 small can of tomato paste
6 pcs large ripe tomatoes, peeled, roughly chopped
250 gr button mushrooms, coarsely chopped
400 ml water
300 gr ground beef
1 pcs large onion, roughly chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tsp beef bouillon powder
Olive oil

How To:
  • Heat olive oil and saute garlic and onion until the onion is translucent & fragrant.
  • Add in the minced meat. 
  • Stir well until browned,then add in mushrooms, tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Stir well.
  • Simmer cook for about 20 minutes.

Ball Eyes Ingredients:
  • 90 grams of rice flour
  • 45 gr grated Parmesan cheese
  • 50-60 ml of water
  • Green, blue & red food coloring, blue
  • 1/2 tsp of activated charcoal powder


How to:
  • Combine the rice flour, cheese, salt and pepper.
  • Pour water a little by little while kneading the dough until it forms a soft dough.
  • Round the dough into meatball shape, you should get about 25 pieces of little balls.
  • Take 4 pieces of the balls, color each ball with green,blue & red food coloring, and activated charcoal powder for black.
  • Take a small pinch of colored dough, flattened it then stick it on the white balls.
  • Then take a little bit of black dough & put in the middle of colored dough. You may want to roll them again to get the perfect round shape.
  • Bring water to a boil then reduce the heat to low.
  • Place the eyeball into the simmering water and cook until floats.
  • Wait 1-2 more minutes after the float, then strain the eyeballs and place them into the meat sauce, stir well.

Completion:
  • Place the cooked spaghetti on a plate.
  • Pour meat sauce with some eyeballs on it.
  • Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
